Ernest Ramsey, 96, of Independence, passed away on February 11, 2009, at his home of congestive heart failure. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, with a visitation one hour prior at the chapel. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Ernest was born on April 6, 1912, in Birchtree, Mo. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Louise who he was married to for 54 years. Ernest was a machinist and retired from General Mill Equipment on May 23, 1977.
He also leaves behind one son, three brothers, one sister, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
