Howard "Pete" Marquis, 92, passed away on Monday March 20 in Houston Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Marquis, his father Aubrey Chase Marquis, his mother Winifred Robertson Marquis, his three brothers AC, Charles, and Jimmy Marquis, his daughter Chere Marquis, his daughter Regena A. Collin, and his son Robert Scott.

Pete was born in Houston on April 22, 1930 in St. Joseph Hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Houston. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps he returned to Houston in 1951 where he started his career in the insurance business with the American General Insurance Company as an underwriter. Later he decided to become an insurance agent selling primarily commercial property and casualty insurance. His successful career in the insurance business spanned a period of 56 years when he retired in June 2007. During the last 17 years of his career he was associated with Cravens-Warren & Co in Houston.

He is survived by his 3 grand-children Angela, Christopher, and Adam, and his 4 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday March 28th at 10:00 am.
