Albert J. Zingaro, 89, of Marshall Avenue, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born March 8, 1923 in New Castle, a son of the late Marion and Madeline (Galucci) Zingaro. He was married to Viola A. (Schepp) Zingaro on October 5, 1946. Mr. Zingaro retired from B&P Trucking after 15 years. Prior to that he drove for Norwalk Truck Line for 20 years, National Radiator, and Lighting Express. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving on the USS Pontiac in the North Atlantic & Mediterranean. Mr. Zingaro was a member of the VFW Post 315, DAV, and enjoyed watching football, avid Steelers fan and going to casinos and spending time with family and grandkids.

He is survived by three sons, Marion Zingaro and wife Darlene of Columbus, OH, Ronald Zingaro and his wife Judy of New Castle, and Anthony Zingaro and his wife Donna of Enon Valley, PA, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Anthony, Frank, James, Sylvester, and Peter Zingaro, six sisters, Rose Gervase, Philomena Ferrari, Stella Carideo, Mary Sanato, Nellie Fontana, and Anna Ross, and one grandson, Joseph Zingaro.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery. New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military funeral rites at the cemetery.
