Kingsley, Iowa - Frances M. Johnson, 77, of Kingsley, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 1989, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Kingsley. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in Kingsley with the Rev. Philip Krupsky officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 8 p.m., at the Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley. Mrs. Johnson, the former Frances Bohlen, was born Dec. 3, 1911, at Akron. She was adopted by the Walter Haakinson family of Climbing Hill in December 1919. She spent her childhood years in the Climbing Hill and Oto areas. She married Clifford Cory Aug. 26, 1939. On Sept. 14, 1968, she married Walter Schweitzberger at Kingsley. On Sept. 25, 1980, she married Virgil Johnson. She spent her married life in the Kingsley area, and had been a resident of Colonial Manor Nursing Home since 1985. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, Donald Conry of Moville and Junior Conry of San Jose, Calif.; two stepdaughters; four sisters, Helen Wesemann of Paullina, Edna Egdorf of Boyden, Lois Mieras of Sioux City, and Anna Krick of Denison; one brother, William Bohlen of Akron; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son, two sisters and two brothers.
