Excerpt -- Mrs. Alfred T. Holt, after an illness of two or three weeks, departed this life on Thursday night, at 11 o'clock. Inflammation of the brain was the disease, and for a day or two previous to her death the deceased was unconscious. She passed away peacefully and without a struggle.
On Thursday morning, Dr. Thayer, of Grafton, accompanied by her son, Brother Holt, of the Grafton Sentinel, came down to see her, but all that medical aid could do, had been done. The funeral will be preached by Dr. Prettyman in the M. E. Church tomorrow, at 10 o'clock.
