Mrs. Mary Nesbit, 89, passed away Thursday morning, March 6, 2008, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel with Rev. Beauford Smith officiating. Internment will at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mary was born August 23, 1918, in Stuart, Va., and grew up in Bluefield, W.Va. She was an active member of the Oriental Band Auxiliary, Oriental Shrine Ladies Auxiliary, Triad Shrine Club, Hamilton Village Ladies and the Jewels.

She loved gardening, reading, butterflies and angles.

Mary lived for her family and friends and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents her loving husband, Joseph Nesbit; her granddaughter, Sandy Waugh Bradshaw and three brothers and two sisters.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia Moser Waugh and husband, John of Climax; two brothers, Elwood Pack and wife, Marie of Stuart, Va., and George Pack of Collinsville, Va.; a sister, Leila Peterson of Bluefield, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Debbie Rash of Climax, Tracy Peele and husband, David of Climax, Rod Waugh and wife, Tonya of Climax and Sherri Liles and husband, Harold of Apex; a grandson-in-law, Phil Bradshaw of Greensboro; 12 great grandchildren and a special friend, Susan Hill.

Mary had an extended family and friends that included the Guilford County Sheriffs Department and the Masonic Lodge.
