Carmela M. Arcaro, 94, of Princeton died Thursday, March 23, 2023 at The Meadows at Morris Hall of Lawrence Township. Born in Bound Brook, NJ, and as a young child she was sent to Isernia, Italy to live w/her grandmother. While growing up in Italy she met the love of her life, Angelo. They were married in 1946 and returned to the United States and started their family in Princeton, NJ. Carmela enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and always had a house full of people. She was a very caring, loving and generous person who always put others before herself.

Daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Fuer) Forte, wife of the late Angelo N. Arcaro, Sr., mother of the late Nicholas J. Arcaro, Salvatore Arcaro, Sister of the late Lydia Vescera, she is survived by 3 sons, Anthony W. and his wife JoDee, Robert J. and his wife Marie, Angelo N. Arcaro, Jr., and 2 daughters, Margaret Buchanan and her husband Robert, Catherine Shillaber and her husband Dave,14 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 8:30 am on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am, St. Paul's Church 216 Nassau Street, Princeton.

Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Princeton.
