WOODSON Samantha Grace Samantha Woodson, 10 years, of Lambertville, MI died Monday, February 18, 2008, in Toledo Hospital. The daughter of Scott and Beth (Scherting) Woodson she was born October 27, 1997, in Toledo. She was a 4th grade student at Monroe Road Elementary School. Samantha loved drawing, art, and singing in the church choir. One of her favorite activities was her M.D.A. Summer Camp. Reading, writing, and math were a joy to her. She enjoyed going to movies and walks in her neighborhood. She was a Girl Scout belonging to Troop #15 at Monroe Road and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance and the Children's Choir. Samantha is survived by her loving parents, Scott and Beth; grandparents, Grace Scherting, Frances and David Woodson; brothers, Kevin and Adam; sister, Erica; aunts and uncles, Mary (Chuck) Busdicker, Sandra Godfrey, Joe Scherting, Steve Scherting, David (Peggy) Scherting, Cindy (Bill) Cappadora, Marcia Scherting and Bruce, Jeff (Robin) Scherting, David (Robin) Woodson Jr., Steve (Anita) Woodson, Sue (Mark) Merzke, Dana Woodson and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harry Scherting. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI where Scripture Services will be Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church where she will lie in state in the Narthex after 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. The family gives special thanks to the students and staff at M.R.E. and her aide, Julie Ferry.
