Toby was rescued from the local animal shelter in 1995 as an eight-week-old puppy. He was the beloved companion of "Mom" Diana. Toby brought great joy to "Mom." He was loyal to her and she was to him. He was a very lovable, gentle giant who followed "Mom" everywhere and greeted her every day when she returned home from work. He visited his "grandma" in the nursing home every chance he could and the other residents loved him because he was such a "gentleman." Toby was diagnosed with cancer six weeks ago. Due to his failing health, his "Mom" couldn't bear to see him suffer anymore and made the hard decision to have him humanely put to sleep. He was cremated and his ashes are buried with Chablis, "Mom's" beloved mare who passed away in the summer of 2007 at the age of 31 years. Chablis and Toby are now romping around together.
