Funeral services for Mary A. Boerjan were held at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church on Oct. 31, 1998 at 10:30am. Interment was in the St. Ansgar Cemetary.

Bearers included Monty Stanton, Jim Stanton, Chuck Stanton, H. Allen Boerjan, Dennis Boerjan and Ron Lievrouw. Honory Bearers were George Lievrouw, Terry Lievrouw, Roger Boerjan, George Taets, Lee Boerjan, Paul Boerjan and Darrell Knecht

Mary A. Maertens was born in Council Bluffs Iowa on February 24th, 1913 to Emma (DeGrande) and Medard Maertens. Mary had 2 sisters, Martha and Ann, and 5 brothers, Morris "Bud",Leo, Jake, Raymond and Sylvan "Uncle Fat" Maertens. She married George H. Boerjan formerly of Plymouth Iowa.
