Mr. Benson was born in Lincoln County Tennessee, November 27, 1892, and at the time of his death, he was forty-five years, one month and one day of age. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a Mason. During recent years, he had traveled extensively in an effort to regain his health.
Funeral services were held at Mangum, with the pastor of the Baptist Church in charge. Masons took charge of the body at the cemetery.
Survivors include his four children, L. N., Frank, Wayne, and Beulah Mae; three brothers and one sister, C. A Benson of Fort Worth, J. A. and W. R. Benson of Lovington, NM and Mrs. H. A. Wynn of Wellington. Ben Hurst and Clark Anderson attended the funeral from Wellington.
