SCOTT DEPOT - Roy William Adkins, 82, of Scott Depot, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008, at his home.

He was born March 22, 1925, at Firco, WV, a son of the late Basil W. Adkins and Abbie E. Elmore Adkins.


He worked as a truck driver for 38 years for Roadway Express. He was a member of the Masons, Ashton Lodge #12, Ravenswood and Scottish Rites, Heather Down, Toledo, OH.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Ann Adkins of Scott Depot; son Andrew Adkins of Ravenna, OH; daughter Elizabeth Adkins of BelAire, MD; stepchildren Michael Means of Scott Depot, Tammy Busby of South Charleston, Wayne Busby of Charleston, Jimmy Busby of Cross Lanes, Kelly Means of Charleston and Sabrina Stubblefield of Kentucky; sister Glenna Tincher of Oak Hill; brother Harley Adkins of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today, March 2, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may visit the family today from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
