Maryjayne (Pessini) Carey, of Southborough, died Sunday, April 3, 2023, at her home. She was the devoted wife of John J. Carey for 31 years.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Adrienne (Pichette) Pessini.

Maryjayne was a 1971 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School and a 1973 graduate of Becker Junior College. For 34 years she worked as a medical office manager and subsequently for 12 years as a billing implementation specialist. She was a member of St. Anne Church in Southborough.

In addition to her husband, she leaves four stepchildren, several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Messier of Asheville, NC and Adrienne Ball of Southborough.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 5:00-7:00PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough, MA 01772. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 10:00AM at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Rd, Southborough, MA 01772. Burial will follow at Southborough Rural Cemetery, 11 Cordaville Rd., Southborough, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Maryjayne to: American Cancer Society, PO Box 1640, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or www.cancer.org.
