Odell Akers, 77, of Ooltewah, died April 4, 2004, at his residence.
A longtime resident of Hamilton County, Mr. Akers was a WWII veteran of the US Navy and was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Long Akers (ID 116964652 ?).
Survivors are three daughters in Detroit, Michigan; sisters, Helen Hill , Ooltewah and Ruby Armstrong, Avon, Fla.; brothers, Bill Stafford, Ooltewah and C.L. Akers, Ringgold; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Junior Bryson officiating.
Burial will be in Plowman Cemetery.
