Funeral services for Melinda Lee Bateman, age 67, will be held on Saturday May 10, 2014 at 4 PM in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday May 10, 2014 from 2 PM until service time at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bateman a retired Brown Shoe Co. employee and member of Faith Baptist Church passed away at her home in Humboldt on Tuesday May 6 , 2014.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Walker Sanders and Ralph Hope Sanders.
Mrs. Bateman was preceded in death by her parents James C. and Catherine (Pugh) Sanders and her husband Thomas Howard Bateman.
Mrs. Bateman is survived by; a daughter Kristie Centurion of Concord, Ca; a son Jeff Bateman of Trenton, TN; a sister Martha Andreas of Burlington, VT; three brothers James Sanders Jr. of Paris, TN, Joe Sanders of Tracey City, TN, and Don Sanders of Medina, TN; and five grandchildren Jake Bateman, Ryan Bateman, Carlos Centurion Jr., Nico Centurion, and Emma Centurion.
