He was born September 24, 1948 the son of Robert and Alice (Holst) Pauli. He married Mary R. Fortener April 7, 1973.
Doug worked for Toeldo Plate and Window, Dana Corp., Ace Hardware Warehouse and most recently he was a computer programmer for Jefferson Smufit in Monroe.
In addition to his wife of over 30 years he is survived by his son Robert of Dundee, a daughter Sheryl (Jim) Buckhor of Toledo; brother John (Carol) of Erie, sisters Judy (Sam) Eikenberry of Maybee and Peggy (Chuck) Engel of Monroe; 3 grandsons Matthew, Michael and Joel; sister in-law Kathy Laub, and brother in-laws Norman Slupecki and William (Carol) Fortener.
According to his wishes cremation will take place. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of the memorial service 7:00 pm at the Erie location of Bennett-Prochnow Funeral Home. His nephew, Chris Vore, will officiate the service.
