Robert enlisted in the Marines 29 June 1966, at the Newark Recruiting Office.
Arriving in Vietnam Robert was assigned to Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd
Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
Robert died as a result hostile mortar fire at Hill 881South while participating in Operation Beacon Star.
Survived by his mother; Antionette of 211 W 2nd St, Clifton, NJ.
His father Robert Kruger was deceased.
