Raymond was born on August 8, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Florida in 1971 and has lived in many different locations within the state. He was a veteran of the United States Military and owned his own businesses. He worked as an auto mechanic, and then followed that business with owning a Convenience Store for about 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and was a member of the Mexico Beach Turtle Watch.
Raymond is predeceased by his wife Sally Charest who died on November 15, 2007.
Raymond is survived by his children Russell (Patty) Charest, Donna Charest, and Debra Charest; 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
On Monday April 10, 2023, he will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery. The graveside service will be held at 11:30am.
