She is survived by five children; Norma J. Turner-Phillips, Judy A. Halavik, Charles G. Woodruff, Penny L. Race, and Joan E. Gardner, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Emily spent much of her time volunteering at her church's rummage and bake sales. She enjoyed solving word puzzles, baking, and crocheting. She will be remembered fondly for her quit wit, great sense of humor, and selfless attitude. (She even wrote out the facts for her own obituary so no one else would have to worry about it.) She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are by the Aegis Cremation & Funeral Services Binghamton New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church to aid in their flood relief efforts.
