Smith, Robert A., 39, of Pleasantville, died Tuesday, November 10, 1998, in Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Mr. Smith had been a food server at Hilton Hotel/ Casino, Atlantic City. He had been a member of Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Hotel Union, Local 54. he had served in the United States Army. Mr. Smith was born in Vineland and had lived in Pleasantville most of his life. Survivors include: his wife Tracy; his companion, Gloria Griffin; three sons, Hakem, Terrance, and Robert; two daughters Cherelle, Chakera; his parents Leon and step mother Wilhelmenia Smith of Vineland, three brothers Lawrence and Charles Pannell, both of Atlantic City and Richard Smith of Vineland, three sisters, Doretta Hubbard and Diane of Pleasantville, Jacqueline McMurtry of Sicklerville and Anita Smith of Mays landing. Funeral services will be held noon, Saturday, November 14, 1998, at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Fernwood and Columbia Avenues, Pleasantville, where friends may call and hour before the services. burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, November 16, 1998 at the Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville. Services have been entrusted to the Greenidge Funeral Home Inc., Atlantic City.
