The family moved to Golden in 1966 and she was a homemaker for several years. She started working at The 1 st National Bank of Golden in the late 70's. She enjoyed working at the bank. She loved to garden, bird watch and was extremely crafty.
She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2009. She loved to reminisce about her childhood on the farm. Milking cows by hand with her dad. Gathering eggs and making pies with her grandma. A favorite story was when an Indian came to the window to smell one of those pies. And how her dog would wait at the top of the hill for her to come home from school every day.
