She is survived by her daughter, Janelle who she was with until the time of her death.
She was born April 12 th , 1931 to David and Evelyn Geisen. She was one of the last generations born on the family farm in Leavenworth Kansas. They moved to Topeka were Marjorie would attend Topeka High School. She graduated in the class of 1949. She also attended Washburn University. She married in 1958 and has one daughter, Janelle. The family moved to Golden in 1966 and she was a homemaker for several years. She started working at The 1 st National Bank of Golden in the late 70's. She enjoyed working at the bank. "We were all like family" was how she described her co-workers. She retired from 1 st Interstate Bank in Golden in the mid 90's.
She loved to garden, bird watch and was extremely crafty.
She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2009. She loved to reminisce about her childhood on the farm. Milking cows by hand with her dad. Gathering eggs and making pies with her grandma. A favorite story was when an Indian came to the window to smell one of those pies. And how her dog would wait at the top of the hill for her to come home from school every day.
