Jessica Louise Harden Jones Smith, 40, of Princeton passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at her residence. Born October 29, 1982, in Bluefield, she was the daughter of William David Jones and wife Sharon of Athens and Delma Sue Harden and companion of 23 years Grover Thompson of Princeton who helped raise Jessica's three children. First and foremost, Jessica loved God. She prayed every day. God was her refuge. Jessica was a certified phlebotomist and spent many years in home health care. She loved her family more than life. She had the most tender heart for anyone in need and spent many hours loving and caring for her dogs. She was an animal lover and would sacrifice a lot to rescue them. Her smile was unforgettable. Anyone that met her always loved her. Jessica's deepest wish was for her three children and husband to thrive in life and their salvation so they can meet her in heaven. Jessica was employed at Derm One in Bluefield. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her the father of her children, Roy Lee Smith of Princeton; her three children, Jacob smith, Joshua Smith, Farrah Smith all of Princeton; maternal grandfather, Virgil Harden of McComas who was the only real father figure in her life and maternal grandmother, Mildred Harden of Princeton whom she though was perfect; and her mother and father-in-law, Roy, and Kathy Sparks. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the service hour on Friday. Pallbearers will be Jacob Smith and Joshua Smith, Roy Smith, Roy Sparks, Virgil Harden Jr, Huston Harden, Stephen Bowers, Ricky Duncan, Adam Justice. We would like to give special thanks to Amber Jones, Jessica's cousin that was like her sister, and Kathy Bowers, Jessica's aunt, thought of her as a sister. In lieu of flowers contributions for funeral expenses may be made to Seaver Funeral Home 1507 N. Walker St. Princeton, WV 24740
