Robert was born on March 7, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan and died at home surrounded by family in Colorado Springs on November 9, 2012 after a short illness. He attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School in Detroit. At age 13, the family moved to Emmett, Michigan to begin farming. Robert graduated from Capac High School in 1974. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Services Management from Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity; and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Last year, he received an Advanced Certificate in Gerontology from University of Colorado. Robert has worked in long term care as both a Nursing Home Administrator and a Regional Vice President of Operations. He was the founder and president of Therapeak, a contract therapy services company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Most recently, he was the Administrator of Springs Village Care Center in Colorado Springs. Robert was a private pilot, Masters Track and Field competitor in high jump and an NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) enthusiast. His favorite hobby was restoring classic Mopar cars.

Robert married Michelle Ann Zimmer on September 19, 1987, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clair, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; children Ashley Ellen, Robert M., Matthew and Rachel Brozowski; his mother, Patricia Brozowski; brothers, Steven, Joseph and Patrick Brozowski and sister, Kathleen Godin; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Brozowski in 2010.

Donations may be made in Robert's name to the American Lung Cancer Society, the Colorado Springs Police Department Crimes Against Elders Unit, or the Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging Ethics Committee. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month
