John H. Bollinger

JEFFERSON – John H. Bollinger, 77, died Tuesday evening at his home in Codorus. He was the husband of Cora Trout Bollinger.
Born in North Codorus Township, he was a son of the late William and Jennie Markle Bollinger. He was employed by the Eshelman Feed Mill, York, for approximately 30 years, until his retirement in 1968.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Sunday School, Jefferson, I.O.O.F. Lodge 74, York, Jefferson Brothers of the Brush, Jefferson Baseball Association, and Hanover AARP Chapter 669. He was a member and former membership secretary of Jefferson Volunteer Fire Co.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, William E. Bollinger, Spring Grove RD 2; three daughters, Edna Livingston, East Berlin RD 1; Annie Paules, Kennedy Drive, York, and Esther Baker, East Berlin; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Wilfred Sterner, Baltimore St., Codorus, and three brothers, William Bollinger, Red Lion RD; Charles H. Bollinger, 393 S. Albemarle St., York, and Paul L. Bollinger, Spring Grove RD 5.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jefferson. The Rev. Bonnie H. Seitz, vice pastor of the church, will officiate, assisted by Bollinger’s former pastor, the Rev. William H. Beck. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from noon until time of services Friday.
Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
