W.I. Beach Dead
W.I. Beach, one of the early settlers of Cowley County, passed away this afternoon at 2:15 o'clock after a lingering illness. Mr. Beach was sixty-four years of age and is survived by a wife, four daughters, Mrs. M. Peters and Mrs. Marshall Drew of Protection, Mrs. Ed. Parsons of Liberal, and Miss Florence Beach, of Hackney, and one son, George A. Beach, of near Winfield.
Mr. Beach came to Kansas forty-six years ago, locating near Hackney where he resided until death.
The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Pleasant Valley Methodist church.
