Laura Gail Soap, age 48 of Stilwell, Oklahoma died on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

Laura was born on May 20, 1974, to Former Deputy Chief of the Cherokee Nation James Garland and Abbie (Gail) Eagle.

She married Charles Lee Soap and to this union four children were born. Laura was a loving wife, Mother, and Grandmother, to her entire family. She not only had four children and four grandson's whom she adored greatly, but adopted in her heart, her children's many friends that she treated as if they were her own and she welcomed them into her home through out these many years.

She would do her best regardless of her illness to welcome people into her home and heart always. She loved to make woodcrafts with her husband "Littleman". She was preparing for the soon to be arrival of her two baby granddaughters.

Laura is and will always be our shining star. She will be greatly missed by those left behind. We will keep her loving memory in our hearts always.

Her remaining survivors include her husband Charles Lee Soap, Sr. of the home; daughter: Lindsey Duvall and husband Tom, grandsons: Bentley James Whetsell and Kasen Layne Whetsell, Adrian and Treyton Duvall of Stilwell, Hunter Eagle Soap and companion Erin of Tahlequah, Braden Lee Soap and fiancé Jonia of Tahlequah, Charles Lee Soap Jr. of Stilwell; siblings Robert Eagle and wife Melissa and Jamie Martinez.

Laura also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends to keep her in their hearts.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Leon Hitcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of the Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Visitation hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
