----
Son of Col John Nash and Ann Owen, his wife of Wales who settled in VA in 1730. A member of the Virginia House of Burgesses 1756-1758. Commander of Lunenburg troops in the Indian Wars. A vestryman of this parish 1767-1769. Buried under St. Paul's Church.
----
Brother to Governor Abner Nash and General Francis Nash

His will probated in Chowan County, N.C. in 1769 mentions his children Clement Nash (later killed at Yorktown during the American Revolution) and Ann Owen Nash (later married Reverend John Cameron) by his first wife (Mary Read). His daughter Ann’s grandmother, Mrs. Read, is mentioned in his will. It is stated in his will that he had four children by his second wife (Mary Holdcroft). That group of four children was Elizabeth, John, Mary and Henry Nash. His youngest daughter Justina Nash is also mentioned. She was apparently a child by Thomas Nash’s third wife (Nelly Craven). The will of Thomas Nash mentions his brother, Abner Nash. The will mentions that his wife survives him.
