Leonard Keys, 85, was born May 8, 1937 in Troy, New York. He passed away April 7, 2023. in Richardson TX near his loving stepson. He attended high school in Troy, New York. He accomplished a life of service in the US Army with extended tours in Korea, Vietnam, the Congo and other theaters of operation.

He lived in Hot Springs Village for over 20 years with his beloved wife and continued his life of service as an active ranking member in the Veteran of Foreign Wars Hot Springs Chapter. For many years Leo traveled from Hot Springs Veterans to areas all over Arkansas helping those local VFW chapters organize and presenting VFW related awards. He also represented Hot Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter with distributing charitable donations and activities from the HSVFW chapter to those in need.

Leonard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Marjorie, and youngest stepson. He is survived by his stepson, 2 additional stepdaughters and 8 grand stepchildren.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM, April 24, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving TX, 75062. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 am until service time in the chapel. The burial will follow at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX, 75211, with full military honors being given.
