Tina Louise Abernathy Ivens, age 57, of Tellico Plains, TN went to her heavenly home, Thursday, April 13, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Geraldean Kirkland; father, Junior Leon Kirkland, brothers, Michael Lee, James Leon, and Timothy Kirkland; and sister, Linda Massingale; and first husband, Gerald Abernathy. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, two sons, two sisters, a brother, grandson, a special friend, and several other family members and friends.
Tina attended Beaty's Chapel Church. Her life revolved around her family and the Lord. She loved singing praises about her Savior and reading God's word. Her life was complete the day she became a Nana. Tina will forever be cherished and loved by her family and all that knew her.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m., in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with son, Rev. Brad Abernathy and Rev. Mickey Payne officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 noon, at the funeral home Wednesday, April 19, 2023 and proceed to Beaty's Chapel Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service.
