One of six people killed when their Puerto Rico National Guard helicopter plummeted into the ocean in route to a drug raid.∼Staff Sgt. Jose' O. Sostre, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Hector Ramirez and Brig. Gen. Victor J. Torres, died Dec. 20 when their LUH-72A Lakota helicopter crashed into the Caribbean Sea during a mission to the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico, in support of the Puerto Rico Justice Department.
Also aboard the aircraft was Chief Warrant Officer Carlos Acevedo, who remainded missing and presumed dead as of Jan. 15, 2011.
All four were members of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard.
