Bernard Dominic Pavig died on April 1, 2023. He was born on May 7, 1937, in Tontitown, Arkansas, the only son of Alice Bariola Pavig of Tontitown.

Bernard graduated from Springdale High School in 1956. Following graduation, he entered the University of Arkansas and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1960. He then married his beautiful wife, Verna Irene Woolsey. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, they settled in Houston, Texas, where he worked for NASA Space Center as an Electrical Engineer. He was a parishioner at St. Clare of Assisi in Clear Lake, Texas. Bernard has three daughters, four granddaughters, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Verna Irene Pavig of Clear Lake, Texas, and daughters Donna Kay Turnbo and husband David Turnbo of Deer Park, Texas, Janay Michelle Pavig of La Porte, Texas, and her daughter Marley Kate Pavig McInnis. Gwen McGee and husband Robert McGee of La Porte, Texas, and their daughters Emily Marie Boldroff and husband Keith Raymond Boldroff with children Taylor, Austin, Bryson, Colton, Landon, and Layla. Tiffany Irene Isom and husband John Thomas Isom with children Blaine, Wyatt, and Mason. Codie Kristene McGee and her husband Rodney Dillon Vance with their children Tenlie, Gavin, Dakota, and Hayzel. He also has nephews Roger Eugene Woolsey and wife Irene Woolsey and Wayne Ira Woolsey and wife Blake Woolsey.

A service of remembrance will be held at the home of the Pavigs on Easter Sunday and the burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 27th at the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
