• DAVIS -- Services for Bonnie Vernette Williams Clemons will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Rev. James Densman officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Clemons was born May 20, 1923, in Fort Gibson. She died Jan. 12, 2002, in Davis.

She attended school at Garden City, near Tulsa, and moved to this area in the late 1930s attending school at Joy. She earned her GED and her license as a practical nurse, worked as an airplane riveter for Douglas Aircraft in 1941 and served in the Women's Air Corps for two years. She worked as an at Hale's Nursing home, then at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf from 1968 until 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, James Lee (Jim) Clemons and wife Judy, Davis, and Rodger D. Clemons and wife Jenny, Duncan; a daughter, Kay L. Knolles and husband Ron, Davis; three sisters, Marie Eppler, Hazel Jones and Jean Lack; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Bearers will be Pete Byrd, Tom J. and Bill Knapp, Wayne Webb, Charlie Rogers and Norman Shiplett. Honorary bearers are Bill Lack, Dale Noland, Bob Jones and John Montgomery.

Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 1514 Meadow Lane, Ardmore, OK 73401.
