Funeral services for John Roswell Bacon, 34, who died of injuries received in the battle of Iwo Jima in 1945 and whose body was returned from overseas to Waukesha this afternoon, will be held from the Lyle-Tuschen funeral home at 8'30 a.m. Monday to St. Joseph's Catholic church at 9 am. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. A parish
vigil has been scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Sunday. Bacon was a member of St. Joseph's church and worked at the Borden co. here prior to his enlistment in the navy, July 16, 1943. Besides his wife, the former Margaret Rose Schmuki, he is survived by a son, John Roger, 5, and a sister, Lillian Helen Bacon, Kent, Wash."
