Loretta Cecilia Ryan passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 19th, 2023. Loretta was born on November 14th, 1938 in Pensacola, FL and has lived in Oklahoma City and been a member of Christ the King Catholic Church since 1961. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, J. Dennis Ryan, her daughter Kerry Ryan, her parents Cecilia and Salvador Taranto, and is survived by her children Michael and Ali Ryan, Kelley Rusten, Tim Ryan, and Dan & Katrina Ryan, and her grandchildren, Chelsea & (Blake) Parks, Chris Ryan, Sarah Ryan, Jack Ryan, Drew Rusten and Alec Rusten; siblings Carolyn & (Jim) Baynham, Tony & (Kathy) Taranto, Marcia & (Ken) Baden, Patricia & (Richard) Schick, Barbara & (Jim) Eisenhour, Cathy Bierne, and many nieces and nephews. Loretta was a nurse at Mercy Hospital for 25+ years and continued to work at Mother's Day Out at Christ the King until the day she died. She loved animals, nature, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and cherished the 'Sister Trips' she took frequently with her sisters. Family dinner at 'Grandma's House' was a long and beloved tradition with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, quilting, and spending time with her fur-babies.
Her memorial service will be on Sunday, April 23rd at Smith & Kernke at 4:00 pm, and her funeral Service will be at Christ the King on Monday, April 24th at 11:00 am.
