Memorial to Lieutenant the Honourable Edward Fitz-Clarence, 7th Regiment of Foot (Royal Fusiliers). Son of George FitzClarence, 1st Earl of Munster and Countess of Munster Mary FitzClarence. Baptised on 30 Sep 1837 in Brighton, Sussex. Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Commissioned into the 7th Foot on 3 Nov 1854. He joined his battalion in the Crimea during the Crimean War. He was wounded in action on 18 Jun 1855 in the attack on the Redan, Sevastopol aged 18 years. He was buried in the Light Division cemetery: - "Sacred to the memory of Lieut. Honble E. Fitzclarence 7th Royal Fusiliers who died on the 23 July/55 from wounds received during the attack on the Redan on the 18 June/55."
