Mrs. Bessie Mae Lovelace died Thursday at the Duarte Sanitarium near Los Angeles, Calif., following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Lovelace was a native of Tahlequah and formerly resided in Okmulgee before moving to California.
Survivors include one son, Homer Duade Lovelace and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Stroud, all of Bixby; six sisters, Mrs. Mattie Perkins, Kiowa, Mrs. Opal Henderson, Tulsa, Mrs. Gracie Anderson, Pryor, Mrs. Esther Chandley, Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Dollie Davis. Ft. Worth, Tex., and Miss Ova Stroud, Tulsa: and three brothers, Voet Stroud, Olen Stroud, and Dexter Stroud, all of Bakersfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Church of Christ, 318 South Grand, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with R. L. Marsh in charge.
Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
