Kitty Blackburn passed from this life to Eternity on July 17, 2017 at the age of 96. She was the daughter of the late William V. (Bud) Taylor and Jenette Hill Taylor of Goldsboro, and the wife of the late Walter W. (Butch) Blackburn of Fuquay-Varina. She was preceded in death by sister, Ruth Taylor Edwards, and brothers, Robert B. Taylor and Leonard A. Taylor. She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Blackburn Morris (Jimmy) and son, Walter W. (Buddy) Blackburn, Jr. (Bonnie); grandchildren,Mark J. Morris (Kellee), Eric M. Morris, A. Russell Blackburn (Nicole), and Ryan T. Blackburn (Lisa); great grandchildren, Taylor Rowland, Ethan Blackburn, Brandon Blackburn and Ava Blackburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kitty enjoyed cooking, gardening, and teaching young children at Sunday School. She was a past president of the local chapter of the United Methodist Women and a past officer of the NC District UMW. Kitty served on several committees of the Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church.
