A small private graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at St. Stephen's Cemetery Chapel, Streator. A Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:00 AM Thursday prior to graveside services at the Chapel. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alice was born August 8, 1928 in France, the daughter of Joseph and Stasia "Stella" Nowakowski. She married Michael J. Brozak on June 9, 1945 in France. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2006.
Surviving are two sons: Ed (Cathy) Brozak of Streator and Bernie Brozak of Henry; six grandchildren: Melissa (Jeff) Rinnert, Alison (Torious) Johnson, Dr. Katelyn (Dan) Talbott, Michael (Terra) Brozak, Renae (Andy) Killen and Brodie Brozak; 8 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Ed (Janet) Nowakowski of Grantsberg. Also surviving are her beloved cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother: Leon Nowakowski.
Alice was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church, now St. Michael the Archangel Parish. She was a proud member of the WWII War Brides.
She had worked for Owens Illinois for over 30 years.
