Mrs. Teresa A. (Blair) Ware, age 72, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at a local hospital, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Teresa was born in Rome on October 7, 1950, daughter of the late Martha Frances Blair and Cecil Q. Blair Jr. She attended Alto Park School and graduated from Coosa High School in 1970. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Timothy Ware Jr., and loving kitties Jax and Chloe.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 53 years, to whom she married on July 20, 1970; two daughters; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister; two brothers; numerous nieces and nephews and loving kitties Toby and Molly.

Teresa was a loving wife and companion, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She shared her husband Richard's interest in all plants and enjoyed going on trips to see and photograph wildflowers. Teresa was an excellent botanist and photographer. She joined the Georgia Botanical Society in 1987 and served as Treasurer for 6 years. She was co-editor of the Georgia Botanical Societies Tipularia Botanical Journal for 20 years and served on the Board of Directors for 28 years. She retired from Big Lots, Inc. in 2010 after 20 years of service. Teresa was a member of the Baptist faith.

Graveside services for Teresa will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2:00pm in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
