Helen, the two year old daughter of Harry Banks of 9th Avenue, Beaver Falls, was burned to death this morning at 9 o'clock. The child had run into her grandmother's house which is on the same lot, while Mrs. Banks was in a wash house nearby. The little girl must have started to play near a grate fire in the library and ignited her clothes, for a few minutes later, when Mrs. Banks went in, she found the child dying by the kitchen door, the flames burning the last of her clothes from her body. She died a half an hour afterward. The mother is prostrated with grief.
As recorded in the Pittsburgh Press, 10/24/1904.
