David married Hannah Jane SMITH on July3, 1860. He enlisted in the Civil War in 1861, served 3 years and received an honorable discharge.
In 1870, his wife and four children came to Erie, Kansas where they lived for 40 years. In 1909 he sold there homestead and moved to Savonburg, KS. In 1920, Mrs. ALEXANDER passed away and he then moved to 424 South Kansas Avenue in Olathe, KS.
Surviving are 8 children: Mrs. Alice ADAMS of KC, MO; Alva of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs. Carl WELCH of Dodge City, KS; Mrs. A. DAVIS, SD ALEXANDER, James, Ethel, and Florence ALEXANDER all of Olathe.
