She attended school in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1962. She took secretarial training at the Vo-Tech at ISU, graduating with straight A's in January 1964. Dianne met Sheldon Dennis Olson on a blind date in November 1964. They were married August 13, 1965 in the Logan Utah Temple and were married for almost 57 years.
In 1966, Sheldon and Dianne welcomed the first of their six children, Darin, followed by three more sons and two daughters: Brian, Kim, Rob, Jeremy, and Pam.
Dianne was a lifelong active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings over the years in Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary. She thoroughly enjoyed the 6 ½ years she spent serving as Stake Relief Society President in the Pocatello West Stake.
Dianne loved spending time at the family cabin in Island Park that her father Bob built. In addition to many family trips, she would spend a week every year at the cabin with her best friend, Suzanne Hallinan, going to all the shows at the Playmill and just having fun. She and Sheldon took many trips through Yellowstone, often with kids and grandkids, and she always had a camera ready wherever she was. She very much enjoyed making scrapbooks for herself and each of her children every year. Dianne also loved to crochet and go on family camping trips.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents: Bob and Alice, and Oscar; two brothers, Harold and Ronald; and her nephew Keith.
