Lydia is the daughter of James Fry and Annie Davis. She was married first on 26 Feb 1878 to Isaac Mikles, a much older man in Yadkin county. The 1880 census shows her with him and three children, including Davis W Mikles who would later take their mother's maiden name. It is not clear who fathered her children.
