Linda Ann Berkenpas was born on September 6, 1956 to Knute and Delores (Draper) Lund in Tyler, Minnesota. She grew up on various farms until her parents bought a farm close to Lake Benton, Minnesota. She graduated from Lake Benton High School in May of 1975. During her "growing up" days, she fully enjoyed her 4-H membership with the then Verdi Vikings 4-H Club. She loved her time grooming and showing her Grand Champion dairy cow, Daisy. She won several State Championships with Daisy and she was so proud of that accomplishment. She met James Berkenpas on a date on January 18, 1975 and they were married on November 15 of that same year. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Barry and Brandon, whom Mom and Dad were very proud of. They officially started farming on their own on October 15, 1976 after they bought the farm and moved in. They made it their home and have lived there ever since. They dairy farmed for 30 years before Jim hung up the milking machines for good.

Linda was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. Linda was a proud grandma. She loved her grandkids like you wouldn't believe. She very much enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. She was especially fond of her fern peonies.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her husband; two sons and their spouses; grandchildren; one brother; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores and Knute.

Blessed be the memory of Linda!
