Mrs. Annie Mae Lawson, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Henderson Grove A.M.E. Church with Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lawson was born on December 26, 1942 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Marie K. Cannida and the late Mr. Herschel Brown.

She attended the public schools of Washington County.

Mrs. Lawson loved cooking, decorating, planting flowers and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Jake Lawson and her siblings: Ms. Mildred Wright, Ms. Francis L. Cannida, Mr. Marion Cannida, Mr. Thomas Cannida, Sr. and Mr. Vincent Cannida.

Mrs. Lawson leaves to cherished memories to her three children: Mr. Gregory (Sharon) ....., Mr. Chester (Mary) ....., Ms. Brenda ....; six siblings: Mr. Willie ..., Ms. Ethelene ..., Ms. Sarah ..., Mrs. Phyllis (Gregory) ..., Mrs. Lynda (Lemuel) ..., Mr. Willie ...; four grandchildren: Mr. Christopher (Sheree) ..., Mrs. Keona (Mario) ..., Mr. Jakory ..., Ms. Biranda ...; seven great grandchildren: Makaila ..., Ethan ..., Asia ..., Brittany ..., Harmoni ..., Adien ..., Xia ...; twenty five nieces and nephews; two devoted friends: Ms. Mary Thomas, Ms. Emmie Sampson; a host of other relatives and friends.
