Mr. Rayfield was born January 30, 1934 in McDowell County to the late Walter and Pearl Raffield.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Lucille Rayfield; daughters, Brenda Rhinehart (Rick) and Michelle Blair (Mike); sister, Diane Kadlec (Johnny); grandchildren, Jessica Thomas (Ben), Jake Rhinehart (Lizeth); Erika Katner and Jacob Blair (Elisabeth) and great granddaughters, Emma Rhinehart and Savannah Thomas.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
