Mable Adams Bloodworth, 90, of Scobey, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at her home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, at National Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada with Bro. Fletcher Moorman officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Oakland, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Eric Peters, Pete Peters, Phil Dew, Hollis Bloodworth, Keith Bloodworth, and Ronnie Lee Smith.
Mable was born on Dec. 27, 1920, in Tallahatchie County to Henry and Annie Gray Adams. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Hill Presbyterian Church. Mable was a moderator of the women's group at Pine Hill Presbyterian Church and she also sang in the choir.
Mrs. Bloodworth was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annie Adams; her husband, Woodrow Bloodworth; and one grandson, David Earl Carpenter.
Survivors include one daughter, Laverne Carpenter of Grenada; one son, Walter Bloodworth of Scobey; four grandchildren, Walt Bloodworth, Brian Bloodworth, Michelle Ford, and Chris Carpenter; and seven great-grandchildren.
