Mrs. Abbott, Pioneer, Dies at Her Home. Mrs. Nona J. Abbott, 1052 Twenty-sixth street, died at her home Saturday night. She was the wife of Capt. W.A.Abbott, who has been prominent in G.A.R. Circles and who was engaged in business here for many years. Mrs. Abbott was a member of First Baptist church and of the Women’s Relief corps of Crocker post. She was a daughter of J.A.Hatch, one of Des Moines’ pioneers. The old Hatch home was at Ninth and Locust streets.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. P.A.Bloom of Berkeley, Cal., and three daughters, Miss Emma Abbott, Mrs. A.F. McCallum and Mrs. Cornelia Hospers of Orange City.
