Howard Marion "Duck" Burleson, 80 of Ambrose, passed away Monday, May 01, 2023 at the Coffee Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Suzette (Mark) Jones and parents, Bratton and Lilly Lambert Burleson.
Mr. Burleson was a Conductor for Southern Railway in North Carolina.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Burleson of Ambrose; son, Tony (Brenda) Burleson of Salisburg, NC; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 step-children, Chris Warden of Ambrose and Melony (Ray) Milling of Bridgebourgh, GA.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 04, 2023 from 1 P.M. – 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Rev. Don Lott will officiate.
The family will be accepting flowers but ask that any donations be sent to the Coffee Cause For Paws in Douglas, GA.
