Ethel Miller Carpenter, 80, of Harrisonburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Avante Nursing Home in Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Carpenter was born April 24, 1924, in Penn Laird and was a daughter of the late George Thomas Miller and Eleanor Jane Gibson.
She was a resident of this area for most of her life and attended the Pentecostal church.
Her husband, Calvin Andrew Carpenter, preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeannie M. Ross of Harrisonburg, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Saturday in Cross Keys Cemetery near Harrisonburg.
